There are so many good wines outside of Italy’s main regions (Piemonte, Veneto, Toscana, etc.) as well as grapes... and they are hardly known in North America. Aglianico is a unknown beast.

Earthy. Hints of liquorice. So much going on here.

For a youthful wine, it drinks well.

Morello and nettles by smell, chassis, and some mlre morello and juicy cranberry by taste. Its fresh and soft. Pretty great, acidity keeps things moving, but not exhilarating.
