May 21st, 2023This is excellent Pinot noir from Felton Road from a ripper than average year. Black cherry, raspberry, wild strawberry, forest floor, dried orange peel, and already a hint of mushroom. Terrific balance, a long finish and a lovely wine

Cranberry, pomegranate, tea leaves, dried herbs, and black pepper. M+ acid, m body and tannin. Aromas carry through on the palate with added minerality. Long silky finish with great structure. Fabulous wine!

However, the fruits on the nose; black raspberries, raspberries, dark cherries, blackberries, poached strawberries, light loamy soils with red roses. On the palate; ripe & beautiful; blueberries, blackberries, black raspberries, dark cherries, cherries, firmer sticky tannins, anise, clove, cinnamon, nutmeg, beautiful soft spices, amazing fragrant fresh red florals, rich body with perfect mellow acidity. The finish is; flat out sexy elegance. These wines were the best we had in New Zealand. They are well crafted wines with beauty, elegance, excellent texture and precision. Not only are their wines amazing, look at that view. It's like a painting. The other photo shows their beautiful low yield Pinot Noir grapes.

Feb 1st, 201710 years old and possessing lovely poise and presence. Wonderful fruit complexity, super fine oak integration. Long in its finish, begging for another mouthful. I am such a fan of Felton Road's Calvert wine.
