Aug 31st, 201911’ Favia La Magdalena . One of my favorite 2011’s from Napa. Pop & let it sit in the glass for 10/15 minutes. Magician when it comes to CF blends.

Apr 19th, 2019Another 4th Friday for the books!
Great nose, easy to pick up the floral cab franc. Dusty cocoa dates, red/black licorice, underripe blackberry on the nose. Surprisingly, I think it’s still got some time ahead of it with the tannic grip on the palate. A lot of plum and currant dominate this blend. It’s juicy without being fruity/jammy...if that makes sense. Really nice lift to it. Thanks @Keith Fisher !

Another 4th Friday for the books. What a much needed time out of the house and to be with friends after this past week.
These cab franc/cab sauv blends by Andy are divine. I didn’t know the makeup at first, but I assumed more cab franc than cab after smelling. I believe this is 58CF/42CS. The nose is intoxicating...peppered blackberries, rhubarb tart. The palate is very red and black fruit driven highlighted by bay leaf coveted dates and plums. Love the CF complexity here...shows why it’s one of my favorite varietals.

Apr 26th, 201812’ Favia La Magdalena. Couldn’t wait any longer, had to open a bottle.
Even split of Cabernet/Cabernet Franc.
Holy smokes! I taste a dozen different things in this wine. Nothing stands out. If you have an opportunity to pick a few bottles up… Do it! Drink over the next 10+ years. CF blend Genius!

Dark and rich with mocha, cassis and maraschino cherry on the nose. Persistent on the palate. Not as good as the cerro sur but still very very good. Needs a steak
