Vintage 2006 | deep colour 3/4 transparant wine with a lot of power, stewy taste, good acidity, perfect balance | paired with venison back, caramelized cichory.

Pretty stunning stuff. I can see why people call it the Lafite of Tuscany. Polished but definitely old world. Beautiful nose of pencil lead, cassis and tarry underbrush. Dark, deep, tannic and complex. Needs time and lots of it

Brand new but still fun. This meant to be aged, I know we’re wrong to drink it so soon, but we enjoyed it thoroughly knowing what it may become

Appealing on the nose, but the wine benefited from some time in the glass to allow an initial metallic element to dissipate. The wine was rich with notes of smoke and typical Sangiovese fruit all well integrated. Very enjoyable all in!

This is more of a Bordeaux blend in taste than a super Tuscan. The cab, Merlot and petit Verdot mix crosses borders and appellations in delicious ways.
