It wants to be so much better than it actually is. The bottle is heavy and beautiful, it bears a sticker that says 99 points and wears it like a badge of honour... but it's just a glorified primitivo. Like what you would imagine a primitivo to taste like if you could reduce two bottles into one and make it way more intense. It's an intensive primitivo. Basically.

A full bodied crowd pleaser for western palates and for those who love big wines. I dare say wines like this would not have been made in Italy 20 years ago. Large %s of Primitivo and Montepuliciano. Short term keeper with low acid and medium + tannin structure.
