Think we had a corked wine. That pungent nose released a bit, but still tainted the experience. Softer tannins, but astringent taste. Too bad.

A nice wine but the vintage and reputation had me hoping for more

Very full bodied cab with lots of tannin so it needs some time open up. This wine will be outstanding after a few years in the bottle

Sipping Fine Wine

From the from the Martin Stelling Vineyard, planted on gravelly loam soil in the Napa Valley, the wine is a blend of 94% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Petit Verdot and 1% Cabernet Franc, dark purple with focused aromas of black and dried red fruits, herb and earthiness. On the palate plum, blackberry and cassis with savory vanilla, cacao and espresso. Well balanced, super fine tannins, a touch of toasty oak carrying this wine to a lingering finish. Has plenty of room to run, have a bottle to open in 10 years!

Red purple rim. Classic and powerful with strong cassis and impeccable frame. $140

Opened one of these in October and decanted two hours. This time did not decant but consumed slowly over 2-3 hours. Still full, dark, dry, and spectacular.

Tasting lots of ripe plum, blackberry, and some black cherry. Lots of vanilla, nice minerality. Very well structured. Solid tannins. Drinking very well now.

After 2 hours in the decanter, this bold, balanced wine was lovely. Dry, smooth. Black cherries over baking spices with traces of oak and cranberries for a wonderfully complex palate.
