Far Niente Winery
Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon
Think we had a corked wine. That pungent nose released a bit, but still tainted the experience. Softer tannins, but astringent taste. Too bad.

Jul 29th, 2018Very full bodied cab with lots of tannin so it needs some time open up. This wine will be outstanding after a few years in the bottle

On the palate plum, blackberry and cassis with savory vanilla, cacao and espresso. Well balanced, super fine tannins, a touch of toasty oak carrying this wine to a lingering finish. Has plenty of room to run, have a bottle to open in 10 years!
