For me, one of the great wines of France. The 18 is better than 15. Nose that = First Growth Bordeaux. Stunning stunning nose of wet earth, moss, licorice, red currants, white pepper, lavender, herbs, clay, granite, graphite and so much more. Maybe even Parker’s favorite, creosote. A mesmerizing nose of elite quality. 9.8. Just an insane palate. Velvety, concentrated and with elite finesse. Sappy and pure. A bit clipped on the finish but wow is this all classy. Red fruits and melty tannins. Amazing purity and a lovely creamy effect in the midpalate. A stunning wine. With air (2+ hours) this gets so nimble, silky and elegant. This is just magic. 9.7 to 9.8.

Dec 3rd, 2022Very pleasant, somewhat evolved (not as much as hoped) from magnum. Light-medium body, good acids, some length. Not a powerful fruit-driven wine but worth revisiting in another 10 years.
