My first Tannat! Kind of grapey which I wasn’t expecting but it was not off-putting. Good structure. Look forward to trying more! 👍

Big, rich, tannic and not subtle. Good, not great. Good with ribs.

Black cherry, violets, black currant, bitter sweet chocolate, black olive, black tea and eucalyptus.

Fierce tannins, this wine is very healthy for you though so drink up! #texsom

Dry farmed. Compared to other I tried this evening, the fruit was more apparent while the tannins were present but a little less firm. Good one to try if no one has had a tannat before.

Heavy feeling wine but also not much to it beyond the tannins. Better for a heavy meal
