Lots of sweet aromas: Cranberries, pipe tobacco and licorice. Spices and red fruit with tart cherry across the palate.

Always fun to try a grape from a different region. Definitely a merlot, but more tannic and less fruity than its California counterpart. Paired with pasta amatriciana. Would love to have again.

Red fruit, very balanced and linear. Tart cherry, dried cranberries, smooth tannins. Slight cedar notes. Opens up well. Great, young, representation of Merlot from Italy!
