I’ve read so many good things about this producer, but... the last chapter reads of a tart, hollow example.

Earthy herbal for a ripe vintage. Personally, the classic design of the wine doesn't mix well with the ripe vintage. Could have picked too early?

A surprise from several weeks ago that I forgot to write up. Really has tension & drive, great balance between acidity & blackberried fruit.

Light to moderately extracted red; not much purple here. Excellent clarity. Tutti frutti and funk notes in nose. Blackberry flavor, some astringency, seed tannin bitterness and raspberry flavor in finish. A tad tart. Bitterness needs time to mellow with decanting

Willamette valley? This is about as old world as the new world gets. 23 years old and perfect.

Very expressive. Lovely tart cherries. Silliness abound.
