La Source Seven Springs Pinot Noir

translucent garnet, watery rim; aromatics develop slowly, wild berries, dried cranberry, orange peel, mushrooms, hints of pine needles; light to medium body, dry, medium+ acidity, light tannin, 12.6% ABV; aged 16 months in 30% new French oak; a respectable and balanced wine from the rainy and uneven 2013 vintage

Ripe red fruit. New world for sure but enough old world elements to keep you interested

Wonderful Willamette profile. Bing cherry. Strawberry dominates.

Love this wine - has a certain wildness to it tamed by some oak. Tart red fruit, dried earth & rocks

Good

Bright and lifted aromatics. Wild strawberry, baked rhubarb, crushed violets, Flintstone vitamins, brambly stem, dried herbs. 8 years on and the tension and energy is palpable on the palate. Chalky tannins, iron, leather, the fruit shows as dried, barrel is subtle and well integrated. Medium plus in length and has a fantastic framework of acid that will lend itself to more cellaring.

Tart cherry without much else going on. Unimpressed

Lovely Oregon Pinot. Starts open, tobacco, fudge among the strawberries. Grows a little less fruity n more robust w temp n time.

Another stunning bottle by the producer. Light earthy but balanced and developing wonderfully. I think their Chardonnay are even better!

Drinking this wine made me forget Donald Trump was our president. Which begs the question, is it better to have drank, then to never drank at all?
