Evening Land Vineyards
La Source Seven Springs Estate Pinot Noir
Medium Ruby color and a lovely varietally correct nose. Loads of wild strawberry, red cherry, red currant, black cherry, violet and forest floor. There is already some secondary oak and tertiary character of leather, dried orange peel and dried raspberry. Terrific balance between the fruit and savory characters with great acidity giving the wine a clean, crisp edge that is excellent for food pairing. Lovely, restrained wine. 13%abv.

Jun 3rd, 2021We had the 2016 Vintage on 12/22-23/23. Not bad, but not great. Blackberry, blueberry and a peppery finish. I have had better from Evening Land

Dec 24th, 2023We had the 2015 Vintage on 2/18-19/23. A wonderful Oregonian PN. A fruit forward, New World, well balanced Pinot Noir. Velvety mouth feel. Black cherry, elderberry and raspberry. Other comments mentioned minerals and earthiness; I do not detect such in this wine. Nevertheless, this is very good

Feb 19th, 2023Came across as watery and kind of bland. Opened herbal but faded quickly. Flavors of pomegranate and black cherry on the front but not much aftertaste.

Nov 22nd, 2021Tart cherry, raspberry, pomegranate, flowers, dried tea leaves, black pepper, and smoked minerals. Lovely finish, a bit more heavy than some Pinots but not as juicy or full bodied as the Phelps.

Aug 1st, 2021Pop and pour. A majestic medium ruby red color. On the nose: subtle notes of stewed cherries, minerals, floral, wet forest floor, slight funk, vanilla oak. Taste: elegant, smooth, dry medium body wine with tart cherry, crushed rocks, earthy, herbs, and a peppery tea medium plus finish. 1st time trying this producer.....might have to check out other wines from this producer. .
