Leathery and fleshy, big and bold for a GMS. 15.9% ABV but nicely balanced despite the high alcohol.

Disappointed. Alcohol-infused, super-charged fruit dominate the aromas and flavors, but it lacks freshness, becoming heavy on the finish, where the lofty alcohol becomes overwhelming.

2011 Vintage. 15.9% Alcohol. 57% Grenache, 25% Mourvèdre, 18% Syrah. Lush mouthfeel with tannins resolved for this monster wine. Great blend.

Big, bold, and rich. High alcohol was a bit hot but the dark fruit and soft tannins are coming together. I’ll wait a couple of years for the next bottle.

Great. We are suckers for sweeter wines. This blend is just too drinkable.
