I'm really enjoying this 2001 Praesidium Montepulciano. It's a heavy, concentrated wine when young, but fifteen years in the bottle definitely do the trick. Smooth, complex and persistent. If you have any recent vintages on hand, be patient and you will be rewarded.

Not too shabby -- a bit mushroomy / earthy but smooth nonetheless
