Wow, this turned out much better than other bottles of Praesidium I’ve aged. I need to open more soon! Not a ton of length but complex, earthy and holding plenty of great fruit.

Another great bottle of this stuff: ‘05, ‘06, and ‘07 in excellent form.

Almost as long and complex as the 2005. Not quite as earthy but still a great pairing with steak and sausages.

Stunning wine of its type, especially for the price. Bacon rather than barnyard, lovely pruity of fruit. Elegant structure that is fully resolved and ready to drink.

Great wine, a bit bigger than I remember at the vineyard, but still worthwhile.

Montepulciano d'Abruzzo DOC 2008, Riserva, 13.5%. Nice color, but nothing special in the mouth.

2019 at La Vertu in Philly. Excellent wine in an excellent eatery. Earthy, hint of wild yeast. Deep dark color with matching aromas and flavors.
