Complex aromas of tar, cherries mushroom and oak. All that on the palate, fruit coming thruogh a richly, and a touch of spice and leafiness on the long evolving finish. Fine grainedtannins give structure without harsh astringency. Could go for another 3-5yrs but really lovely as is

Nose: leather, tobacco and fruit. Alcohol is masking needs to open up. Taste: fruit forward, cherry and black cherry fruit, light tannins, apple and cherry notes. Finish is smooth due to age slight burn from alcohol. Delicious Barolo. Glad I waited.

In a perfect state of maturity: Enzo Boglietti's "Fossati" 2001 Barolo: lovely first tertiary notes, still pretty floral and with earthy & cranberry flavors notes and a vivid tannic spine.
