Envinate
Lousas Parcela Seoane Mencía
Bright acid-rich bombshell, with mineral and meaty fragrances. Floral notes at first, changing in the glass... not a shy wine, likely polarizing... but for my tastes, and unique and delicious experience.

Aug 4th, 2018Incredible. Densely layered fruit, earth, mineral, and savoury elements. A crescendo of evolution took place while we drank this. The nose had something only some of the best pinots have; a kind of magical aroma that is impossible to pin down, "like a dream you know you had but can't fully remember." (@Matt Wilson )

Jul 13th, 2017Floral fragrant Menzia. Tart dark fruit, sappy, herbal notes. Med in body, juicy. Tannins are lightly grippy but fine.

Maravilloso! Fresh, energetic, spirited. I drank this with someone whose name escapes me but who looked like Salvador Dali and I thought that was fitting for this. Red fruit, 'sweat dirt smell', pepper, violet. A little bit of stem in there too. Feels like when you lay down and remember you can imagine anything you like.

Surprising and exciting wine full of energy. #wholecluster #mencia #ribeirasacra #envinate when I tasted this wine before in a show next to its non-parcel brother, I preferred the non-parcel. In this tasting without anything to compare it with, I enjoyed it thoroughly. Cool new wines in #Spain

Opened yesterday along with the Viñas de Aldea (village version) the Aldea was much more approachable. Today the Seoane has really opened up, but does need a little cellar time (or a big decant) IMHO. Strawberry, graphite, wild herbs, black pepper, very fine tannin and vibrant acidity. 600ish bottles produced.
