Emmanuel Houillon (Maison Pierre Overnoy)
Arbois Pupillin Poulsard

Truly one of the most singular wines in the world attaining mythical-like status, it’s wild and vibrant with a captivating strawberry-spice and floral bouquet with a deep, exceedingly elegant palate and a scintillating finish that goes on and on. Amazing wine and the most perfect summer red.

Spritzy like a bad Sunday morning mimosa. Maybe a bad bottle. Seepage beyond the wax cap. Bad sign. Not overjoyed with this Overnoy.

Pale orange red, faint reductive tones and lots of gas, quite airy and light. Aromatics of tea, orange, cranberry and stones. Better earlier in the evening, a touch mousey after a few hours

Ethereal in every sense. Tannic mastery. An ever evolving nose in incremental refinement. The greatest koolaid I’ve ever had.

Always good times with these. This 2014 rendition is light weight with beautiful purity, poise and its trademark spritz. A lovely refreshment - 2014

Took a little time to open up, but then it was one of the best Poulsard experiences I've had. Pure cherry with a bright lift balanced with a touch of earthiness.

After the reduction blew off, this was all watermelon and high-toned strawberries. Earthy and beautiful, with a hint of green (unripe seeds?). Showed a touch oxidized on the finish after being opened for a few hours. Drink now!
