Amazing live performance from Big Star in front of the Memphis music press. Recorded right after Chris Bell’s exit & is an amazing document as it really is a band playing for their professional lives, yet they sound like it comes easy and natural. This shows what was to come on their final two records and I love it that it’s been released as a stand alone. The 2015 Scharzof Riesling is a perfect example of the steady balance of acidic structure & exuberant fruit. A great way to spend an evening with these two.
