I admire the Simčič brothers very much. This is a very rich and decadent style. I would love to have seen this a few years younger, the acidity just didn’t seem to hold up to the weight and density of the fruit.

Wow this is definitely cool and interesting. Not sure what kind of vessel they use to ferment/age the wine but it's not French oak. Fun! Thanks Will!

Big and rich. Lacking acid structure but still a lovely wine rich on the palate.

Herbacious, developed, with a touch of Fino Sherry, though spicy and alive on the buttery, slightly hot finish.

2007. Very rich, ripe, big chard, Slovenian but almost new world, made by wonderful family.

2008 vintage. Could really have picked this as an older Chablis. Mineral-forward, with the fruit quality decidedly in the baked apple and pear camp. White flowers and moderate creaminess that becomes more pronounced the longer it is open. Seems a little over the hill, but really not bad and held up for a couple of days.
