The ‘DuMol Estate Vineyard’ is a high-density vineyard located in the Sonoma Coast AVA, right near the Pacific Ocean. This wine is an exceptional bottling by the talented Andy Smith. The nose is classic Sonoma with bright pear, butterscotch and a whiff of salted praline that fills the glass. The palate is silky smooth, as the seamless texture entices. White peach, toasted brioche and vanilla creme brûlée flavors all collide on the palate. Seductive while light on its feet, this beautiful wine has a long way to go in the cellar. Drink 2019-2033- 94

This bottle was firing at all cylinders tonight. Did you check the shadow? 🙈

So this was very subdued and a little harsh on the acidic part on day one, dispite the 96RP rating and descriptors of "explosive flavors". To me, I taste more like a streamlined/seamless chablis profile. On day two the stubborn acids have integrated and the nose is much more expressive. Palate is also hinting more towards premier/grand cru burgundy. But not quite getting there. Ironically the last few sips of the last glass were the best. This just needs way more cellar time. Next one in two-four years. 95-96 potential.

Reductive nose and reticent palate inverted those descriptions after 45 mins. A Puligny ringer. No flab here. En mag.

2019 vintage. Juicy and tangy and a pleasure. Summer in a glass. Medium body. Consistent focus throughout and lacking any soft spots. 4.13.23.
