Napa Valley Cabernet Franc

Green pepper, spice, violet. Somewhat "hot" on the nose and palate. 2011 vintage.

Not sure what to say. Does not have much cab franc character.

Much better than the last bottle, settled in and composed, very new world. Is it Cabernet Franc? Barely if you guage it against the Loire. Too much oak diminishes the ability to do so.

A bit richer style than I usually go for but a solid effort.

Not 100% varietal as there is obviously some Merlot and perhaps Cabernet Sauvignon in the mix.

Blackberry, bay leaf, violet and spearmint. Very silky tannins.

Happy Easter! Typical funk/pepper on the nose, but this CabFranc is unusually fruity and smooth. Great effort.

Oak, berries, and ZERO Franc character that stands out and identifies itself as such. 👎 I would have hoped for more Franc like aromas and flavors, esp in a supposedly cool vintage.

This the Cab Franc. Dominate raspberries, cherries, smoke, leather, black earth.

Excellent, dry but not too tannic
