Blackberry, cassis, raspberry, vanilla, cherry cola, mossy earth and oak. Great structure and well-integrated tannins.

Nice nose, Rich red fruit. But falls apart a bit in the mouth. Some nice acidity but lacking interest.

Full-bodied, berry profiles are ever-present and holds up well against any food pairing. More of a cab than the label/description lets on. Great drinking to the last drop.

I bought this bottle because the label claims the winery was the first one to use Meritage for its Bordeaux blend, back in 1985, and did not expect it to be this good.
The nose is deep, complex elegant with classic cassis, cedar, and tobacco with flair of slightly ripe plum and cranberry. Hint of anise and Chinese herbs too. The entry was soft, silky, round almost feminine, slowly building up to a full body with great texture and good tension between medium acidity and bitter sweet authoritative powdery tannins. A real beauty!

A great cab sauc, Merlot , petite Verdot and cab franc blend. Velvety on the tongue, bold. You cannot go wrong with blend unless it is your last bottle.

Wow this is big. Awesome dark fruit, well structured tannins, good spice. Dark, dark wine, lots of time needed to open but we'll worth the wait.
