Estate Field Selections Mendocino Ridge Pinot Noir

Decidedly animale, focused and powerful Pinot Noir. Wish I bought more.

So much going on here, fantastically bright and clear cherry, tea and light spice. Tannins suggest I opened too early, this has the stuffing to last and likely merit a higher score. Watch out for this label, and Mendocino Pinot.

A masculine Pinot with pronounced tart black fruits....think pomegranate, blueberries black cherries. All bound together with herbaceous and woody notes. This wine is elegant yet rugged, and soft in all of the right places 😉

Bold and full bodied for a pinot noir. Highly enjoyable.

Black cherries, cola, currant. Still fairly tannic. Not a lightweight.

This is the best wine I’ve ever had. That’s all.

Delish

Herbal, red berry, some good funk, licorice, and five spice on the nose. Lots more on later tastings. Silky mouthfeel, darker berry, high rounded acidity, salinity, earth, and mod tannins. Lovely and fascinating!

This was a great start to the night. Widely enjoyed. It was light and delicate on both the nose and tongue. The flavor was balanced and had a hint of smoke with masculine strength interwoven with dark berries.
