Dec 6th, 2017CVed 8/27/17. Interesting nose of mature leaves and mushroom and red cherries and forest floor. Seems like a cross between Bordeaux and Burg! Good balance on palate and finish. Nice match with white pizza.

Aug 27th, 2017Many have commented that this may be a bit past peak, and they may right but don't let that discourage you from buying this if you see it. To me, this is still drinking beautifully. Unfortunately, it was the last bottle that my shop had or I would get more. The cherry fruit flavors still held its own but a lot of secondary characteristics (tobacco, leather, raisin) have really benefitted the flavor. Tannins are now seamlessly integrated making this a silky balanced wine. The last glass had some fine particulate in it that I was unable to see in the bottle holding it to light so I would suggest decanting.
