This wine is a baby. Nice clean petroleum nose. Almost frizzante-style acidity, very stony finish to the point of clipping. Very good but time should show more on this one.

The 2009 Donnhoff Hermannshohle is rich and ample in the glass, showing sweet peaches and pear, with hints of kiwi, honeysuckle, and white smoke.  It races across the palate with precision and poise, delivering mineral-tinged orchard fruits, perfectly balancing weighty textures and ripeness with an acid-mineral thrust. The finish is long and floral, complemented by lingering flavors of lime and green apple with cheek puckering tension. Wow!

Too good to be true. Saline, full bodied petroleum soooo good. Not moved an inch other than being more accessible.

Elegance and power. A beautifully made wine. Striking minerality, intense stoniness. The fruit comes later: pineapple, nectarine, with saltiness and limeyness at the end. Coming from 49 year old vines, and below 4g RS. Stealing your soul! So intense.

Hey everyone! Riesling is sweet, crappy quality and overpriced! Don't buy any! (Ok, now that the people who don't like Riesling are gone...damn. Stellar. Tremendous producer. Outstanding vineyard. Wish I had a case to watch evolve over twenty-plus years. Wow. Can't get enough.)
