Chianti Classico Sangiovese Blend

cheeeeeeerriessssss, very (too?) floral on the nose, black and green peppercorns, like the finish though with oregano, nose not too sold

Typically brilliant #chianticlassico 85% #sangiovese 15% #merlot. Red / violet floral + woodsy nose, classic earthy-iron varietal aroma, bright acidity, soft tannins and a bit of roundness courtesy of the Merlot, some spice on the finish. Brilliant pairing with Chicken Paillard topped with blue cheese which brought out the spice in the wine, interestingly enough.

Just ok, a little flat ... not much to the finish

Good structure with all the right flavours of Cherry, Bramble, leaf tobacco and rose. Finish not long or overly tannic. Nothing stood out good or bad🍷

A bit floral and not terribly dry for a Chianti. Berrries, peppercorn, cherries.

Earthy stone and black liquorice opening up to purple fruits. Light body, moderate tannin and acidity.

Don’t know how this wine rated a Classico designation. No finish, few high lites, no better than cheap box wine.
