The Gallivanter California Red Blend
Closest New World wine to Beaujolais I’ve ever had. Crunchy, tangy berries and granite like minerals in the nose. Dry, fruity, and light in the mouth. Nice freshness, actually some youthful and very fine/grained tannin. Pretty long finish for a quaffer. Nice!

Jun 1st, 2018Lifted notes of fresh cranberry, raspberry, and blueberry at the back. Ruby with moderate concentration and little staining. Dried lavender, black pepper, marzipan, elevated acidity, medium tannin, elevated to full body. Interesting blend, wouldn’t have guessed there were Mourvèdre or Merlot in it.

Mar 21st, 2018Well it sure is fresh and funky.
Whether you like it depends on your tastes. It's tart, almost to a fault, and exhibits all of and none of the classic markers for whatever grapes were used in this blend. It's gimmicks for gimmicks sake, and while I understand it, I don't have to like it.
