Really impressive. Light-medium bodied and zesty overall with fine tannic grip. Loads of floral red fruits with cedar spice, a touch of tar, white pepper and violet. Approachable, classic, satisfying and geeky at the same time.

Sicilian wine from the base of Mount Etna. 95% Nerello Mascalese, 5% Nerello Cappuccio. Soft but chalky, earthy, more low tones, herbaceous but not too much. Medium body, slight rhubarb, but again- not in the way wines can be when they are too young to drink. Really lovely wine. Apparently, the winery is no longer making wine due to lack of interest from the family heirs.

this is compared to his France companion Pinot Noir, the best Etna Nerello Mascalese I ever tasted. Only 3000 bottles were made, I can only say elegance at his top.

A great Southern Italian redwine full of bright red fruit. Feel the heat and the soft tannins. So drinkable with fruit that invites you to have another sip. Great value.
