Dominique Piron
Domaine de la Chanaise Morgon Gamay
A delight! Light but in no-way insipid. Juicy and lush with a surprisingly satisfying finish.

May 31st, 2019Solid, straightforward excellent value bojo. Perhaps a touch warm and sweet but at €23 on a wine list I am absolutely not complaining!

Apr 15th, 2019good high acid value #wine, $22, tart red rasp fruit and serious chalky tannin. Think I like warmer vintages more, 10 is ethereal, light and fragrant, it's lean but not green. Comes just short on the texture meter.

Mar 21st, 2021Cranberry, currant and smoky notes. Tangy with racing acidity. A WS Top 100. Got for $17, but I’m not overly impressed here. Maybe I’m just wrong on this one.

Sep 24th, 2017Dense and fresh. A good gamay sip at a fair price + another example of 2014 excellence in Beaujolais.
