We had a vertical of 2014 and 2016 on 3/29/24. Two years prior, both were good. Not now. The 2014 was well past prime. 2016 was a better vintage and still drinkable but really not good. Quite disappointing.

Full bodied with crunchy fruit and a very fresh and focused finish. Got a bit of a rustic feel to it, but in a good way. Berries, potting soil, licorice, orange blossom, herbs. Still on the young side.

Jul 22nd, 2022We had the 2016 vintage with the 2014 on 6/11-12/22. We had a vertical tasting. 2014 vintage is rated 85; 2016 rated 93. The earlier vintage was more fruit forward; the latter a bit earthier. The 2016 had some tannins that needed to be smoothed out with aeration. Two good wines.
