A blend of 49% Cabernet Sauvignon, 47% Carmenère and 4% Petit Verdot, aged in new oak. Deep Ruby with pronounced aromas of ripe fruit, oak and sweet floral notes. On the palate flavors of blackberry, cherry and sweet plums with vanilla, cedar, herb and earthy notes. Fine sweet tannins, long finish, well balanced with acidity, ending with notes of spice, fruit and cedar. Beautiful, just starting to open, will be good for next decade.

The second wine from this Chilean producer. Big but not colossal. Nicely balanced. Medium acidity. Bordeaux style. I liked but didn’t love this...a teaser.

Big change from ’15 vintage; ’16 a blend of 95% Cab Sauv, 4% Merlot & 1% Carmenere, whereas ’15 was almost 50% Carmenere. Now wine certified organic & biodynamic, aged for 7 months in new French oak, then transferred 23% in new French oak, 49% 2-year old oak, remainder in oak vats, total of 23 months of aging. Aromas of nice dark berry fruit aromas, some nutty & peppery spice. Palate has array of berry flavors, licorice, cedar & herb pepper. Tannins starting to soften long finish ending with fruit & spice.

A scent of Wild blueberry, limestone, rose petals and intense raspberries. Drier on the palate. Needs a few years to soften. Tobacco. Classy.

This is wine seems overpriced for me. That being said...I preferred it to some Super Tuscans blind. It’s a delicious wine. #chile #bordeauxblend

Delightful from the first sip and an excellent accompaniment to a 4th of July celebration. Still prefer Le Dix, but Les Petit Clos is wonderful. ($57)
