Moulin des Costes Bandol Mourvedre Blend
Popped and poured at La Buvette. Dark garnet with an opaque core. No visual signs of age. Consumed over three hours. Initially reticent but after about 30min, it started to show off. On the nose, dark cherries and cocoa. On the palate, dark chocolate cherry cordial, espresso and baking spices. Tannins built up over time and there’s fantastic acidity. Lovely stuff and seems built for the long haul. A super Bandol on the heels of Tempier and Pradeaux.

Feb 2nd, 2015(**) Clear, dark ruby, some legs; red raspberry, black cherry, leather, white pepper on nose and palate; dry, med + body and alcohol; soft, big tannins; lingering finish; some capacity to further age. Ideal with grilled pork chop. Not complex, but interesting and delicious.

Spicy, vanilla, mineral, lemon cake.
Fat, lightly acid, melts, appel, rich and rond.
Todays day is nice to taste it, and can last 4 to 5 years more.
Excellent with a fish with cream!
