Satisfying, solid St-Émilion that is delightfully juicy without being overblown. Dark cherries, kirsch, baking spices are bolstered by firm, ripe tannins and refreshing acidity. A wonderfully perfumed Pinot with new world brightness balanced by old world sensibility. Rounded red fruits shift throughout the palate - red currant to cherry - with a little earth and a bit of spicy licorice! Smooth tannins and good acidity make a nuanced but vibrant wine. It has the earthiness you'd expect in a CDP but it's very approachable to those who prefer a lighter touch. Medium ruby, lovely ripe blackberries, cassis, licorice, a hint of earth bursts on the nose. Extremely elegant and lightweight in body especially given the vintage; would have thought there to be more fruit and roundness on the finish but there's a nice peppery lift after the fruit gives way mid-palate.
