Satisfying, solid St-Émilion that is delightfully juicy without being overblown. Dark cherries, kirsch, baking spices are bolstered by firm, ripe tannins and refreshing acidity. A wonderful wine for any occasion to drink in the nearer term (next few years). Dragon de Quintus elevated a dinner at home, which included cheese! — 9 years ago
Rich, sensual, powerful and wonderfully ripe - not for the faint of heart yet gorgeously supple, so no fears! Bursting with currants, coffee, smoky chocolate, a streak of wild meatiness. Embodies the 2009 vintage, has excellent structure to last. Perfect with roasted duck and other meats! — 9 years ago
A wonderfully perfumed Pinot with new world brightness balanced by old world sensibility. Rounded red fruits shift throughout the palate - red currant to cherry - with a little earth and a bit of spicy licorice! Smooth tannins and good acidity make a nuanced but vibrant wine. It was heartily enjoyed with Cornish game hen with thyme and Herbes de Provence. — 9 years ago
Rich cherry and plum pillowed by vanilla and smoky perfume. It's almost hedonistic on the nose but the structure is unmistakable on the palate! Juicy yet clearly defined. — 8 years ago
Deep golden color, enticing expansive baked spiced apples and pears, sultana, honeysuckle, light hazelnut on the nose comes to life on the palate. After a swell of stone on the midpalate, the honeyed, sliced fruit returns for a delicious finish. Fresh acidity and smooth texture make for a wine that is peaking beautifully. Drink now or soon! — 9 years ago
Powerful and laser focused, great acidity and freshness combined with mature complexity flavors of warm, cooked red and black fruits. Strong earthy and savory undertone - slightly damp. Showing well for the vintage! — 9 years ago
Bright cherries, plums, kirsch, smoke and oak toast, coffee, earth, leather, anise, quince. Delightfully fruit driven yet incredibly mineral. It has the earthiness you'd expect in a CDP but it's very approachable to those who prefer a lighter touch. Eminently drinkable now; great with everything from tuna tartare to filet mignon! — 9 years ago
Medium ruby, lovely ripe blackberries, cassis, licorice, a hint of earth bursts on the nose. Extremely elegant and lightweight in body especially given the vintage; would have thought there to be more fruit and roundness on the finish but there's a nice peppery lift after the fruit gives way mid-palate. Could be great enjoyed by itself on a warm spring or summer day! — 9 years ago

Deep ruby, soft vibrant cherries, cassis, plum, blackberry, earth, a lovely mineral streak - dense, succulent, very elegant. Made with care. To be enjoyed without rushing. Beautiful with broiled steak, potatoes au gratin, creamed spinach! — 8 years ago
