Delicious but young. Apricots, a little tropical fruit, lime and grapefruit, flint, just slightly off dry. Many years to develop

I find '12 preferable over '13 in Alsace, but this producer makes you think again.

Half bottle, 2006 Weinbach Clos des Capucins Riesling Schlossberg. Lovely aged, complex Riesling, mature, not sweet, great acidity and cut, but ready to drink, purchased en situ and hand carried home.

Medium golden color. Honey, apricot, lite saffron on nose. Salty rocks. Wet wood or twigs. Rain. Lite aroma of alcohol. Maybe a few grams of RS. Rich. Acid throughout and alcohol give structure. Medium weight and viscosity. Clean creamy mineral finish after apricot candy. Alcohol leaves a light tannic texture on the finish.
