Roc Vin de Pays des Côtes Catalanes Red Blend

A little too "natural" for me.

Nariz: ciruela, cereza, regaliz, algo funky (brett?)

Boca: Seco (tart), Tanino M, Acidez M/ M+, Alcohol M.

Vino interesante y fácil de tomar.

Purple-edged, old vine Carignan and Mourvèdre. Rock fruits, juicy stones, bag of dried herbs, bleached skulls, leather, cherry jelly. Gorgeous stuff.

Vanilla and spice on the nose, but so much tannin from the mid palate through finish... didn't expect it! another Kermit Lynch beauty! This is 70% Carignan and 30% Mourvèdre from Cote Catalanes in Rousillon ( South of France).

Another win Todd. Solid juice dude.

Smelly but delicious.

First thing I notice is camphor but not in a bad way. I get the leather notes but really smooth and tasty.

Smelled bad and had bizarre flavor after opening. After a long airing out it became something entirely different. Something I quite liked.
