Sancerre Sauvignon Blanc

Gun flint, passion fruit, melon, awesome acid and just a tiny bit of a nutty character from the age. Really good.

Lovely. Fully ripe juiciness balanced by citrus tartness and a mineral verve. Note to self: don't forget about Sancerre.

Excellent! Beautiful floral aromatics backed up with a long, mineral driven finish. Wet cement, hay, and good acidity, but balanced.

So many dimensions to this wine. It's superb!

This is a lovely Biodynamic SB from one of the more modern Sancerre producers. A lovely melange of modern and classic wine making. This wine has a pale green color, a lovely aroma of fresh grade, citrus, grapefruit, minerality most probably thanks to the chalk terroir, medium fresh body, lovely acidity, long mineral elegant finish. My score 88, drink to 2016 perhaps longer

Ripe pear, apple and honey. M+ acid. Round, saline and flint. Long finish.

So vibrant when tasted at the winery in downtown Sancerre (2012), but it didn't travel that well.

Les Romains. 2012. Great balls of acid. Nose is spring + clothes out on the line and wild flowers. Front palate minerally and cushy - part way thru end of mid acid attack kicks in and after that finish its big ole ball of underripe Granny Smith acid. Great persistence (albeit a little mouth numbing). Gonna let this lady open up over a few days - would definitely seek this out again and let it have a handful of (or many more!) deserved years layin' down 😎

O.M.G. "Intense" doesn't begin to cover it. Powerful nose, energy-laden fruit/acid, endless. Power and grace incarnate
