Aloxe-Corton Pinot Noir

Best Burgundy I’ve had in a while. The red fruit is retrained yet still seems sun drenched or subtly dried and integrates perfectly with the oak. All the pieces are in place. I recommend decanting for a couple hours and drinking in the next 5 years.

lutte raisonee, 18 mos on oak- mostly neutral. 2017- a lighter vintage as expressed in the wine. bright raspberry. leaner gives room for fruit. soft and silky. nose became more floral.

Cool Burgundy. Delicaye colors. Transparent. Potpourri red/pink flowers, wet stem, petals. Palate shows clean, quick sharp tannin, cherry, high bright red fruits. Great for $50. Food ready. Opened 9/17/17

More complex than your average Aloxe-Corton. They are underrated Pinot Noir wines from Burgundy. In my opinion, a local secret as they can as enjoyable as big name 1er Cru wines of the famous region. We loved it!

Still bright, though most of the fruit is played out.

Easy drinking and all that is good in a young Pinot. Bright red fruit balanced with fresh acidity. In a good place now.

This is in a really great place. Still plenty of structure and fruit, but light and ethereal. A real pleasure with roast chicken.

Happiness inducing.

Tertiary character, friendly, need much time, roasted tone, today 5th generation of the same family to run the vineyard since the 19th century, it is one of the very select spot in Côte d'Or
