Brilliant light ruby red color. Still fresh with spicy red fruit, leather, herbs and dried plum on the nose. Complex and intense on the palate. Just a real treat to see one of these with proper age. Definitely not a young, opaque and tannic bandol but you could sense that all those things must have been true in this wines youth.

Drinking really well but wouldn't cellar further. Herbs, cured meat, cured black olives, seamless and long. Some rustic notes but altogether delicious.

One of Tempiers individual Cuvées La Miguoa. Mid crimson with a slightly Tawny rim. Sooty earthy mineral aromas with a touch of thyme. M plus intensity on the supple delicious palate - Tannins resolving. The La Miguoa has a lesser % of Mourvèdre and more % of Cinsault than the other Tempier Cuvées. Plenty of stuffing to go another 5 to 10 years. In a blind tasting many would pick this as South Australian- coming from a warmer climate. Tasted blind this is where Barb thought it came from.
