Les Sentiers Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Pinot Noir

You know how some of the most delicious things are simple and complex at the same time? Like, think about the best raspberry or cherry you've ever had. Is there anything more delicious? I could go on about purity, finesse, and intensity, but really, this wine is that raspberry. (Gave it an hour decant to open up and show itself; I imagine this wine has plenty of stuffing for development but now the primary fruit is just delicious).

Great producer and excellent wine. I love 2011 and Chambolle is singing here.

This will be explosive in 15 years

A baby. An up and comer.

Deep, aromatic, tight. Sadly pickled with too much SO2.

Good stuff. Shy nose. Raspberry, blood orange. Good concentration. This will develop more, but drinking in its sweet spot for me.

Strawberry/raspberry and a mineral finish. I enjoy the silliness of this burg. Be patient with it, in the bottle and the glass.

Very good producer. Raspberry. Lifted. Finish right now is tight, even after an hour decant.

I’m afraid that for the high price point I don’t find much to admire. It has a pleasant, easy-to-drink cherry pie quality that can be found in far less expensive bottles.
