Evenstad Reserve Willamette Valley Pinot Noir

Been saving this bottle for 10 years... did not disappoint! Bright cherry with compelling notes of walnut, thyme and... straw (in a good way??)

Really nice aged Pinot. In its prime right now, but I wouldn't wait too much longer. Aged raspberry, mint, black tea. Acidity is there, but the younger Evenstads definitely seem to be a lot more acidic. This was a joy to drink. Never did it seem like this one needed acoutrement to make it better. Has the rounded character to do well alone and the acidity to drill complement food. When I thinkbof classic Willamette Pinot, this is usually it.

Really good even though corked bottle; simple but tasty

muted nose. dark plum fruit, sweet tea leaves. nose couldn’t keep up to palate.

Nicely balanced between fruit and minerality. Could age a few more years, but still drinkable now.

Beauty in a bottle! Classic!

Showed beautiful late...perfect structure. Fig jam finish. (sigh) P.S. Sweet potato gnocchi w/bourbon bacon and apples for the din-dins...

'06 Vintage developing very well while retaining freshness on the nose and vibrancy on the palate. Yet, expected a little more for the price tag.

So good! Full body with great fruit and depth. This is always a very worthy wine.
