Same black cherry/blackberry fruit as its Crozes-Hermitage counterpart, but less tannic and more immediately drinkable.

Super terroir-driven with game, black olive, blackberries and tar. Youthful but with medium complexity to allow some nice mid-term evolution.

Last had 2 years ago and the age has been good to this I think. Pours a deep inky indigo. Dark fruit and some olive brine with integrated but present tannins. Mouth coating. Nice acid and a long finish. Really quite delicious and certainly an excellent value.

Really nice. Could certainly go a few more years. But delicious with several hours open. Quite deep but balanced, perfect accompaniment for roasted chicken thighs with feta and olives.

A bit less together than the last bottle we had. Looking forward to trying in a few years. Still nice with some cassoulet on a cold rainy Sunday in dear old nyc.

Very nice St Joseph and a crazy value for the money. For now I’d recommend a 4+ hour decant; also going to send some to storage now for a few years. Deep beautiful red in the glass. Classic Rhône Syrah on the nose with deep restrained dark red fruit and olive. Finish is pure with good acid and medium tannins.

Nose of briney olives, leather, blackberries. Good taut palate, give a few more years to loosen up
