Dark tawny with some hints of amber. Medicinal nose. Notes of black and red fruit, some dark soil and some wood, a little camphor and lots of spice. Silky in the mouth. Good fruit and acidity, with resolved tannins and a long finish. Pretty good.

Needs another five years to hit its plateau and can easily go for another 20. Fine tannins, deep red fruit, plenty of structure. Wait.

Tawny and translucent. Cork came out too easy. This has a little stewiness to it on the nose. Has visual similarities to the CdBeze opened the other night but must have been ill-treated at some point in its life. Drank ok but the 96 Beze was better.

Reddish purple, translucent but dark. Bright sweet nose. Notes of raspberry, strawberry, some earth and spice. Rich and round in the mouth. Candied fruit nose and some menthol notes develop with air time. Great stuff. Still young and chewy but most enjoyable tonight.

Reddish tawny. Translucent. Light on its feet in the glass. Wow nose with notes of ripe black cherry, plums, purple flowers, pepper, wet soil and some menthol. Big wine in the mouth but very approachable. Rich and structured. Another 96 that for me has moved beyond the shrill acidity that seemed to be around for so long. Great now, no need to rush tho.

Dark tawny color. Almost opaque. Bright earthy black cherry nose with notes of warm fruit, menthol, spice, slate stone and cool soil. Rich and spicy in the mouth. Wakes you up with its fruit and bold structure. In a great drinking zone but has many years ahead of it.

Definitely a more modern style Bones Mares. A little sweet for me but paired well with them huckleberry sauce on the duck. :)

Drinking VERY well right now. Definitely more giving than the Dujac now but not as pretty. Just delicious.
