I’ve been loving the much maligned 2011’s lately. Most of them are in their prime right now including this one which was super elegant with a great mix of rocky minerality and dark fruit. This is at peak and will drink well for another decade.

This started as a dark dank earthy wine with big tannins. But it evolved over 2+ hours to knit together and be a stunner. Well integrated and enough acidity to maintain freshness. With beautiful fruit. This seems like a classic Nuits and perfect with rich food.
