Vintage 2014 / spicyness and elegance

Love where this is heading, elegant and more acid driven, bright and red-fruited with plenty of Gigondas soul.

Super dry with restrained blue and dark fruit on the nose and palate. Smooth tannin with med plus acidity. Need time to let the wine shine.

One of my favorite terroir driven wines from the S. Rhône. '14 is showing to great right now its hard to think of a reason to save them. 5 btls left 😩. Garrigue, smokey minerals, peppercorns, fresh bramble and cherry fruit, slight meatiness, kirsch, just a kiss of licorice and herbal notes. Loving the freshness and purity, just enough sap and drive in harmony. Wondering why I bother drinking anything else other than Rhônes sometimes.

Infanticide can be glorious. Still needs time, but comes alive after a few hours in the decanter. Big and brash, dark fruit emerging from under a thicket of garrigue and alcohol.
