Tasted blind. Dark gold color, like oil in the glass. Slightly oxidative nose. You can tell this is super ripe just from smelling it. Notes of apricot, stones, mint, warm citrus, wet stones and some coconut. Creamy and heavy in the mouth. Lots of weight. Strikes me as a big bottle from a ripe year and the mint says, Ramonet so I go 92 Monty as my guess. Mixed views on this wine at the table, but I'm a fan.

Bright and light. Menthol and gentle floral notes with white pepper and great clarity. Nimble and deft but still focused. Gorgeous.

Have not posted in a while this is a stunning mature white Burgundy. Incredible aromatics of lemon marmalade , toffee , menthol , guava and lots of minerals . Incredible depth persistence on the palate with tons of dry extract on the long powerful finish . Best white burgundy I have had in awhile .

Medium gold color. Thick like oil in the glass. Killer exotic aged burg nose. Notes of honeysuckle, citrus, white flowers, mint, lime blossoms and kiwi fruit. Tons of acidity matched up against rich fruit. This took us on a roller coaster all night, with crazy crescendos of fruit and smells. Best of the three BBMs tonight.

Wow. A lovely rich nose. Honey, menthol, greengage, floral notes hints of white pepper. On the palate this is beautifully on point. Rich, long, but with amazing freshness, tension and acidity. This is all there and has a great future.

This is lovely. Slightly reductive in the nose. Gunpowder hints, fresh white flowers, slate, mint. The palate is fresh and driven. Great tension with driving acidity and really full midpalate. Excellent stuff

Tasted blind. Medium gold color. Tight nose. Some apricot and lemon, but not giving much like the other whites despite it having ample air time. Has lots of fruit and power inside, but there is a slight taint that comes and goes that hides this wine’s true self. It came around though and showed better before it was polished off. Hugely enjoyable but just a touch off.

Light to medium gold color, heavy and viscous in the glass. Stark, powerful nose. Sweet Meyer lemons, tan spice, lemon creme and dusty dry earth. A little spearmint comes on over time. Rich and powerful in the mouth. This has a massive core of fruit with matching acidity. Great juice!

The third in a string of white burgs all acquired from the Don Stott Sotheby auctions. This was notably darker than the previous two bottles. Some oxidation on the nose, with notes of candied lemon, brown sugar and some iodine. With air, there's some desirable citrus and leesy notes that come on. And while the oxidative note in the nose is noticeable, when you taste the wine you are hit with a ton of acidity that says this bottle is in no way over the hill. In fact as the wine took on more air, the nose took on typical old Ramonet notes including the mint and wet stones attributes. The acidity and power lasted for about an hour and then some decline happened. Pretty damn good juice and on other nights this probably would have been the favorite white. (Bday 5 of 13)
