Enjoyed this yesterday in celebration of Mark Green’s 50th. It was awesome. Happy Birthday, Mark!

Very modern in style, with an interesting blend of 50/50 Grenache/Syrah. Savory and herbaceous, firm, fine tannins, and an excellent, long finish.

5/15/15. Nose like macerated dark fruit, blackberries, black cherry, plums. Grenache-y dark cherry astringency comes through but some Syrah fills it out. Some heat on the finish but better integrated than I remember from an earlier tasting. A little more modern than I like in a CDP but very tasty. Even better after a couple of hours in glass!

Paul A. Pushing the boundaries with a modern take on CDP. Still with barnyard funk, but an oak undertone reminds you that this is breaking with tradition. Elegance in a glass. Period.

Gross amount of oak. Straight up disrespectful to the region.

Very good. Matt loved. Kurt birthday wine. Very but still earthy. Definitely a treat but wonder if better decanted or aged even more. Probably have had other wines better for the dollar.

Fresh sweet fruit

👃 Very expressive. Dark fruit with some spice, a bit of garrigue, mint, and a touch of oak

👅 Rich, sweet, mostly purple fruits(plums, purple grapes, black raspberries) with
mint. Full bodied. Fruit forward. Quite fresh. Drinking very well.
Tannins-soft and nearly imperceptible
Finish-long and pleasant

This is best as a pop and pour. Best served cool to keep it fresh. Loses focus with more air. Immutable wall of flavor. A wine of big, sweet fruit. Too sweet?

Delicious 😋
