Isere Balmes Dauphinoises Persan

Spicy berries, violets, savory. Brambles, forest floor, tart cherry. Bright, good acid, a bit short, but a fascinating orphan varietal.

Very interesting, unusual grape. High, almost tomato-like acidity. Juicy red fruit with a savory quality and a very peppery finish.

Odd variety with a vague echo of cote rotie

I'm Persan-ally a fan of this wine. Brambly cherry, smoky earth.

Dead ringer for Mondeuse on the nose. Very acidic red wine. Most with be surprised by the color/acid profile. This begs for foods with fat or richness. It's an honor to be able to try a grapes resurrection.

Dark juicy fruit. Interesting intersection of northern Rhone and savoie.

My first Persan, a bit Syrah like. Nicely balanced, enjoyable wine.
