Starting to show more evolution than I would hope for a wine of this age. Not the best bottle. Apricot & cheese rind.

Almost interesting - waiting 8 years for this is more effort than it’s worth. It drinks fine - a little lychee start then a balanced oak finish. Hoping for more but drank it all with lemon veal chops!

Extremely reductive nose and palate. Everything feels clipped short by the reduction. Give this time to come around.

Lots of SO2 and pungent reduction. Young, powerful, grippy. Needs time to display it’s potential.

From a restaurant list. Popped, decanted and chilled. Medium gold. Nice weight in the glass. Sweeter nose. Notes of apricot, citrus, earth and a little orange peel. Rich and glycerol in the mouth. Has the characteristic mustiness of Niellon. Took 90 min for the acidity to come on. Good not great.

Such a compelling nose, but such a tease. One fleeting moment of promise. Destined for cooking with.

Medium gold color. Nice weight. Reticent nose offers hints of sweet pit fruit, stone, a little soil and some spice. In the mouth this tips more towards the fruit side than the structure and acidity side. Ok finish. Maybe just in an awkward phase.
