Vergelesses Savigny-Les-Beaune 1er Cru Pinot Noir

First time with this producer but not the last. I don’t see this getting better. So fresh-black tea, cardamom and hazelnuts on the nose and palate.

Another terrific 2015 Burgundy from Michel Gay. We have a couple other 1er Crus to taste, but so far, very tasty Burgundy. If your non-Pinot friends don't like the 2015s from this producer, they can safely avoid Burgundy altogether. Bright cherry, cola nut, balanced acidity... simply delicious and fine to drink now. Some light mineral notes, white mushroom, but no overt farmyard/pasture stuff anywhere. Difficult to tell how this wine will change with age... short term (2-5 years) should be fine, but why wait?

Right in the zone

2007 is showing quite well.

Angular with a sour acid burst on the finish. Reminiscent of a tractor path in a pasture ... so essentially horse shit, dirt, and crushed grass/weeds.

Really liked this. Powerful, mineral, and rich.

Nice all around wine for everyone's palate.

Cherry, cola, touch of mint, earth. Enjoyed with a flank steak and was just a perfect compliment.

Pomegranate, whole cluster, cedar box and stoney finish.

Brad, Elissa, and lamb roast baked with vegetables. 5/31/15. First outdoor meal of the year. Very good wine, and perfect pairing.
