The 2017 Nuit-Saint-George village offering is sumptuous and rich, with strawberry liqueur, red and black cherry, balanced by white mushrooms, cola nut, and delicate acidity. Not at all dusty as with Tanzer’s 2016 tasting. This one might not need much time in bottle. Another lovely Meo.

Excellent after 30 minutes. Slightly fading after an hour. If this bottle is representative, time to drink up.

Wonderful wine, aged beautifully. Just under 25 yrs old but young and fresh. Good complexity even though it is village appellation and not premier cru.

Perfect density and lightness match to make a very charming red burgundy of class and tradition. Energy and stability intact and alive. Not too many specifics to point out just great all around what I was looking for.
